Baby Tomasov

We made the trip to NY this past weekend for Evan’s baptism. It was very nice to have our family and friends there to help us celebrate. Here are a few pictures of us.

A friend of ours bought this shirt for Evan. The last sentence on the shirt says “I am totally awesome”  We both think he is pretty awesome ;-)

Evan just got out of the tub!I thought this picture was cute and I wanted to share it with everyone.

We took Evan grocery shopping tonight. As you can see, he was very excited to be in the produce aisle! He didnt start screaming until we were checking out, so it was a good trip. :-) We had to bundle him up because it was so cold today!

Evan’s one month “birthday” was yesterday. We cant believe that it has been a month already. Everyone told us that the time would go by fast, and they were right! Here is our big boy!

Evan has had  a rough couple of days. We arent sure if he is going through a growth spurt (he always seems to be hungry!) or if he is colicky or what is going on. But we are doing the best we can to keep him happy and calm. Right now, he seems to be most happy when we are holding him, but we cant do that all day long. I snapped a picture of him today that I am sure he will appreciate at some point!

Bosco thought it would be fun to help Evan out with his tummy time. Evan seemed to enjoy it too because he didnt cry for about 15 minutes.

Evan had a playdate with his friend Owen! Owen is our friends Becky and Brian’s baby who was born 3 days before Evan. As you can see, these two were quite social during their playdate!

So when Evan is getting ready to fall asleep he smiles a lot. If I gently stroke his cheek, I can get him to smile even more. This is the only one that I have been able to get a picture of because they don’t usually last that long. Hopefully soon he will be smiling in response to things!

We apologize for the lack of posts lately. We have been pretty busy with Evan. He has kind of gotten into a routine. He doesnt like to go to bed until between 10:00 and 11:00 at night. He will wake up 2 times during the night to eat, and then gets up for the day between 9:00 and 10:00. Once he is up, he usually only takes a couple of short naps (30-45 minutes) during the day. That pretty much gives me time to eat and try to get something together for dinner. Other than that, I am busy playing with him all day.  He still has to eat every  2 hours but that is getting easier for us too. Matt has been wonderful with watching him so that I can get out of the house. It is usually just a quick run to Walmart or doing some other errand, but it gives me the break that I need and it gives Evan some quality time with his daddy. His jaundice is clearing up. You can still see it in his eyes, but it is definitely getting better. Soon we can try to space out his feedings a little bit more and try to get into a routine. I will try to post pictures when I can!
