We have had a crazy week. Evan started to get sick a week ago when Aunt Colleen came to visit us. She kept him home from day care for the day and got to hang out with him, but he wasnt really feeling well. It started out as a cold and then he developed a fever. It started to go away (or so we thought) on Sunday, so we sent him to day care on Monday. Well by the end of the day Monday he had gotten much worse. So it was off to the doctor! It turns out, Evan has croup. He is very congested and is wheezing a lot. He also has a cough that sounds more like a seal barking. To say the least, he has been pretty miserable. We felt so helpless because there was nothing that we could do for him. We finally started him on some antibiotics and asthma medication. It has helped so much!! He is feeling much better, but he still has the cough and wheezing. He is acting more like himself again and I think things are moving in the right direction. He was at day care the last two days and they said that he was doing better too. He had been sleeping through the night for about 6 weeks, but has gotten up 4 of the last 5 nights. His mommy is also sick, so it has been hard on all of us. Having a sick baby is no fun at all! We all hope to be healthy before making the trip to NY for Christmas!

Evan has the most adorable little pouty face. It breaks my heart to see it, but at the same time it is so cute. I have been trying to a get a picture of it for the past 3 months, but havent gotten one. This is the best one that I could get. It is much better in person, but you get the idea. I am sure he will appreciate this in the future!

We went to a Christmas Craft Show a couple weeknds ago and Evan got to meet Santa for the first time. As Santa was handing him back to me either Evan or I accidentally grabbed ahold of Santa’s beard and pulled it off a little bit. Good thing there were no little kids around! :-)

Here is another picture of Evan and Aydin. At one point they were holding hands with each other. It was so adorable!

Here are the three boys celebrating their first Thanksgiving together. Devaughn is on the left, Evan is in the middle, and Elijah is on the right. Devaughn and Elijah are my sister’s twins who were born in February. When I saw the cute litle bibs I just had to get them!

Matt and I hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year. Matt’s parents came down from Buffalo, his sister came up from Virginia, and my sister and her family came up from Baltimore. It was a very busy few days, but we all had a great tiime. Here is Evan in his first Thanksgiving outfit. The little stinker kept putting his hands in his face and over the turkey on his shirt, so this is the best picture we could get of him.

Evan was very tired after his first day at day care! He fell asleep on daddy’s shoulder and seemed so peaceful.

Evan had his first day at daycare last week when I went back to work. It was very hard for me, but he has been doing really well there. Here he is on his first day!
