Matt and I decided that we would try to make our own baby food this weekend. We thought about it when we were taking our baby classes, but then I really just thought it was going to be too  much work. It turned out to be much easier than I thought! It took me a few hours all together, but I was able to make him carrots, sweet potatoes, bananas, and green beans. It is much cheaper than having to buy everything, as long as I set some time aside every few weeks to do it. Now, lets hope he likes it as much as the store bought kind! Evan was hanging out in the kitchen with me almost the whole time. Here we are making some sweet potatoes!

Evan really likes the dishwasher. He will crawl over to it, and pull himself up on it. Today he was able to pull himself up so he was standing and leaning on the door when it was down. I took this picture a couple of days ago when Evan was “helping” mommy with the dishes. He was actually taking the dirty dishes out of the dishwaser, so it wasnt really helping, but he was trying!

Evan loves to chase after Burt, Trouble Cat, and Bosco. Bosco is pretty good with him, even when Evan grabs big chunks of his fur. Trouble cat does okay with him, but usually runs away from him. Burt will go out of his way to avoid Evan. Today Evan was sitting in the middle of the kitchen floor, and Burt walked the perimeter of the kitchen so that he was far away from Evan.  Evan will squeal and chase after them whenever he can though. Here he is trying to get ahold of Burt!

Evan is finally big enough to wear one of the geek outfits that his daddy bought him before he was born. Here he is showing off his geekling shirt.

We have no idea why, but he started clapping his hands today.  We’re assuming he picked it up at daycare, but he wasn’t doing this yesterday!

Here is Evan getting up on all 4’s and getting ready to crawl. He can now army crawl and scoot himself all over the floor. he is very good at getting into things that he is not supposed to! He really loves the Roomba and daddy’s computer cables! He has also figured out how to go from laying down to sitting up all on his own!

Here is Evan and his daddy! Yes, I realize that Evan’s pants are very short. We are having a hard time finding clothes that fit him. The 3-6 months pants are perfect around the waist, but are too short. The 6-9 months size are perfect in length, but are so big around the waist that they fall off! I guess thats what happens when you have a long, skinny baby!
